Chapala Lake & Ajijic

Beautiful Chapala Lake, south from Guadalajara is located the largest body of sweet water in Mexico. Along its more than 50 miles in length on its northern shore, Chapala Lake, is dotted with charming colored little towns.

At its western most part is located Jocotepec, an Indian village that was established in 1539 host a street market where locals converge to sell their foods, crafts, carpets and other handmade items. San Juan Cosala, with its wonderful hot springs is the place to go for a chance to soak and play and soak some more in its curative waters

Ajijic, a wonderful place of spring like weather through the year, it is home of one of Mexico's largest retirement communities, galleries and restaurants. Chapala is the largest town around the lake, with lots of B&Bs, hotels restaurants, galleries, and artisans.

In the year 2000, I applied to the tourism bureau to get my credentials to become a Tourist guide and in 2001 I obtained a four-year permit which I renewed and after twelve years I obtained my permanent permit.

During this time I have met people from all over the world and I have participated in T. V. programs, radio programs, I have aided book writers and help people in different investigations.
